Hatonosu Sta.

The station is characterized by its platform with a wooden roof. The “Linewide Lab” is located in the station building, selling souvenirs and offering mobility rental services. The place name Hatonosu is said to come from the two pigeons that nested at the “Water Shrine” in Hatonosu Valley and were protected by the villagers as sacred birds. The area around the valley was once a major lumber production area, and lumber was transported to Edo by floating down the Tama River.
